Lt. Jim Downing, US Navy veteran of World War II, was aboard USS West Virginia on December 7, 1941, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Here, in the full interview the AVC conducted with Lt. Downing, he reflects upon his experience during the war and his career in the Navy. At the time of this interview, Lt. Downing is the 2nd oldest Pearl Harbor survivor at 103 years young.
